The Chicago (A) White Sox have sent 27-year old closer David Aardsma and 21-year old minor league left fielder Tim Keen to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for 21-year old minor league starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw, 20-year old minor league closer Dwain MacCarter, 29-year old shortstop Bobby Crosby and a 2nd round draft pick. Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009: Boston Shuts Out Oakland An efficient outing for Yovani Gallardo usually means a win for Boston. Today was no exception, as the 23-year-old starter held Oakland to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 11 and gave up 4 hits in the 5-0 shutout. Monday, June 1st, 2009: Oakland and San Francisco Agree to Swap A trade between the Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco Giants was made official this morning. The Oakland Athletics have sent 21-year old starting pitcher Kasey Kiker and 23-year old left fielder Jamie Romak to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for 26-year old second baseman Ian Kinsler.
