| Breaking News |  | Monday, June 8th, 2009: Atlanta-Texas Deal: Galarraga for Diamond
Officials for the Atlanta Braves confirmed that they have traded 27-year old starting pitcher Armando Galarraga, 24-year old minor league shortstop Kelly Babthorpe, 20-year old minor league center fielder Dennis Macias, a 1st round draft pick and a 3rd round draft pick to the Texas Rangers. In return, the Braves will receive 26-year old starting pitcher Thomas Diamond and 24-year old second baseman Patrick Kuhns.
Currently Galarraga has a 1-4 won-lost record in 9 starts with a 5.67 ERA. He also has 61 strikeouts in 54 innings.
In 2009 Diamond has a 4-4 record with a 3.95 ERA in 11 starts.

 | Monday, May 18th, 2009: Boston Red Sox Tejeda to Texas for Shaver
A trade between the Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers was made official this morning. The Boston Red Sox have sent 27-year old minor league starting pitcher Robinson Tejeda, a 1st round draft pick and a 4th round draft pick to the Texas Rangers in exchange for 27-year old starting pitcher Chris Shaver.
Thus far in his career, Tejeda has 4 victories and 3 defeats with a 3.57 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .218 average.
So far this year Shaver has compiled a 6-2 record with a 3.51 ERA.

 | Monday, May 4th, 2009: Texas and New York (A) Agree to Swap
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Texas Rangers sent 24-year old reliever Jonathan Broxton and 23-year old first baseman Eric Campbell to the New York (A) Yankees for 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Dave Rhoden.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
This year Campbell is batting .253 with 2 home runs and 12 RBIs.
