Chicago (N) pitcher Rich Hill gave the Milwaukee Brewers fits today as he blanked them 10-0 on 2 hits. He registered 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout.
His manager said, "When he's locating his pitches, he becomes unpredictable. He had Milwaukee guessing the entire game."
In 2009 Hill has compiled a 3-3 mark with a 4.02 ERA in 12 starts. In pitching 78.1 innings he has 64 strikeouts and 31 walks while limiting the opposition to a .236 batting average.

 | Monday, May 11th, 2009: Super Week for Chicago (N)'s Winfree!
The National League presented its most recent Player of the Week Award to Chicago (N) Cubs third baseman David Winfree.
"His numbers speak for themselves," a club publicist said. "He's been really seeing the ball well."
Indeed, Winfree has. Last week he went 10 for 22, batted .455 with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs.
In 36 games this year Winfree has posted a .317 average and put up these numbers: 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 25 runs scored.

Steven Evarts of the Philadelphia Phillies really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 9-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Chicago (N) Cubs with a 2-hit shutout in which he struck out 15 and gave up 2 walks.
This year Evarts has a 6-0 record with a 1.02 ERA.
